Bromwich is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell and is a
part of the Black Country. It is the largest town within the Borough of
Sandwell with a population of around 136,000 and lying 5 miles northwest
of Birmingham. Manufacturing still remains important to the town's
economy despite a steady nationwide decline in this sector since the
1970s.
